About Us

The company Cruz y Bomant, SL, founded in 1995, concentrates on the design and manufacture of new systems of concentration of solar energy for use in solar projects, both thermal and photovoltaic. This includes the development and structural support, as well as all follow up and the actual concentration process (mirror, etc.).

The company’s current position is due to the work of Emilio Cruz, the driving force behind Cruz y Bomant , who has worked for more than 30 years in the solar energy sector. This includes a period at the CIEMAT - the Renewable Energies Institute, where he developed the planning and productions stages of cylindrical satellite solar collectors. On leaving this centre he continued his work in the development and creation of prototypes in the specifically designed laboratory at Cruz y Bomant SL.

At the same time he has been designing and constructing various devices related to solar energy in which patents and models have been achieved. This extensive work has been acknowledged and rewarded both nationally and internationally on numerous occasions.

    • Winning patent of first prize and gold medal in the '23rd international convention for the inventions of new products and techniques.' (1995) Geneva, Switzerland.
    • Winning patent of the 'Best Spanish invention 1995' from the Spanish Society of patents and brands.
  • ‘New, flat solar energy collector.’  Patent number : U9600638 (1996).
    • Winning patent of the first prize and gold medal at the "24th international convention for the invention of new products and techniques." (1996) Geneva, Switzerland.
  • ‘Procedure for the production of, large scale, self cooling staggered lenses with variable focus and filter properties’. Patent Number: P9700914(National) and PCT/ES98/00109 (International). (1998).
    • Winning patent of first prize and gold medal at the "26th international convention for the invention of new products and techniques". Geneva, Switzerland.
    • Winning patent of the "First prize Spanish invention" from the Garcia Cabrerizo Centre.
    • Winner of the first prize at the 3rd "Encuentro Solar" (1998) Benicarló, Castellón.
