New Applications

Our most recent projects at Cruz y Bomant

Below you can see the hydro-solar cycle implemented by Cruz Y Bomant in the supply of electricity to a family housing project that was carried out exclusively with renewable energies. This cycle is based on generating conventional electrical energy using a mini hydraulic jump and a low capacity hydraulic group. The turbine water is then pumped into the pool to be used again with solar thermal energy. The solar energy concentrator patented by Cruz y Bomant supplies the thermal energy at a high temperature and provides the vapor required for the pumping using vacuum pumps. The main advantage of this is the independence achieved between the supply of the solar energy and the demand for electrical energy required by the user.

Hydro-solar technology as a clean alternative to nuclear energy and other non renewable energy resources

This procedure is applicable specifically in coastal areas where sea levels don’t vary and the constant supply of water is sufficient enough to supply large subterranean hydroelectric installations. The required pumping of water in deep wells, as in the previous procedures, is done using similar solar energy concentrators, distributed by plants of a size necessary for each operation.

Step by step plan of the above procedure:

  1. Crossed flow turbine and generator, maximum power of 7kW
  2. Control panel and electrical regulator
  3. The solar energy concentrator disc (patented by Cruz y Bomant)
  4. Fixed receiver of high density thermal energy. Consists of a circuit that allows the flow of heat
  5. arrying fluids -thermal oil or water– to obtain vapor for the pumping process.
  6. Vacuum pumps Bomba de chorro de vapor (pulsómetro)
  7. Recirculating pump for heat carrying fluids
  8. Piping attached to the turbine
  9. Piping to return water to higher level (in pool)
