THE SOL Y PAZ PRIZE FOR GOOD SOLAR PRACTICE.

April 2008

The prize was awarded to Emilio Cruz for his long career dedicated to the investigation of low cost solar energy concentration systems suitable for developing countries and the implementation of solar cooking methods.  He has brought innovative machinery into the field of solar-radiation concentration for high temperature thermal applications, as well as simple solutions for the integration of these systems with existing ones.

EUROPEAN SOLAR DAY

May 2008

European Solar Energy Day was organised in Spain for the first time this year. It was organised to promote and show to the public the most recent advances in the use of the sun as a source of energy, promoting recent developments.
